A-Designs EM-Blue

The EM-Blue with its high nickel wound output transformer will produce a much brighter tone, with an airy top end. This module is perfect to use with darker sounding microphones or on instruments like snare drums, guitars, etc. that benefit from a crisp sound.

A-Designs EM-Red

The EM-Red has a custom wound INPUT transformer and the same output transformer as the P-1, which produces a somewhat different sonic character by bringing the "mid levels" forward in a recording.

A-Designs EM-Silver

The EM-Silver has the same features as the P-1 except for the custom wound steel output transformer. This unit will take you back to earlier times, when ribbon microphones and steel transformers were the standard.

The API Model 500-6B Lunchbox is a six position rack designed to accept API standard 5.25" X 1.5" modules. The Lunchbox comes standard with a +48 volt internal phantom power supply, bussed to pin 15 for interface with the API 512C. The input /output jacks are XLR.

API Model 500VPR (Inc PSU)

The API Model 500VPR is a ten possition rack that is powered externally by a tri-polar power supply and is designed to accepts API standard format 5.25" X 1.5" modules. The 500VPR is internally wired for PIN 2 hot, and comes with the API L200PS, and XLR I/O's.

Purple Audio Action Fet

The Action Fet is an 1176 style compressor module compatible with 500 Series racks. The Action Fet shares many of the components found the MC77, including the input attenuator, and gain reduction FET. The ratios are the same, including all buttons in. The main difference is in the attack and release times which cover a broader range than the MC77.

Purple Audio Odd Inductor EQ

Odd is a four-band 500 Series EQ inspired by the classic "swinging inputs" console. Each band has two switchable frequencies that have been carefully shaped to be musical, even at full boost or cut. The high band can be switched from bell to shelf, to boost frequencies beyond 20kHz. The low band can be switched from bell to shelf, reaching down to the subsonic range.

Purple Audio Pants

Pants is the latest 500 Series MicPre from Purple Audio that is designed using four custom made discrete opamps. With different Gain and Level settings the Pants can produce many different tones with the same amount of output level. The front panel DI goes through a FET buffer into the input transformer, adding an extra dimension to the sound of the preamp.

Purple Audio Moiyn

The Moiyn 8x2 summing mixer is only compatible with the Purple Audio Sweet Ten Rack. Installed into slot 9 of the Sweet Ten, slots 1 through 8 automatically become input modules to the Moiyn so you can still take the slot 1 through 8 output XLRs to your DAW or tape machine. This system is also expandable allowing for multiple units to be cascaded together.
